Desserts are a rare treat after a meal like lunch or dinner. Usually, they would consist of heaps of sugar and calories. However, my take on unhealthy classics make desserts better for your body and hopefully they taste better than the real thing! To create a good healthy dessert, you first need to think of the main flavour of your treat. Let’s take mango as my choice. Then you need to think about how you can incorporate the flavour into your dessert. eg: cakes, biscuits or even ice cream. Finally, find a way to make this version of the original healthy but still delicious.

Easy Fruit Sorbet
Serves 2

Ingredients
250 grams of any tropical frozen fruit eg: mango, pineapple, guava
1/2 cup of innocent tropical juice and/or orange juice
Method
- In a measuring jug and using a hand blender, blend together the frozen fruit and juice until mostly thick but a bit runny.
- Divide between two bowls and enjoy.
TIP
- If you don’t have a hand blender, you can always use a food processor.
- This sorbet is instant meaning that it freezes itself from when you blend it. Therefore, don’t be tempted to freeze it. After you blend it, you need to eat it. That’s what makes it so fast!
